Arts of the Apocalypse

January 30th, 2008

I always wondered how indie developers handled graphics. As a computer programmer, I could guess how engine/tool/ai dev could be done. Yet I couldn’t figure out how graphic aspect would be handled. After all, I knew my space sim game wouldn’t survive with my level of artistry…not that I have even begun coding.

I still need to familiarize myself with XNA or whatever other I decide to use.

Articles like Art of the Apocalypse ( crypticcomet.com) made me realize I do not have to do everything. I will first have to learn the technology, design in detail and start development. Then I will contract out the art work…

Very encouraging though I know it won’t be good first time. ^__^

I found the link from penny-arcade.com… advertisement of the game… and wondered where I had seen it before.

Armageddon empire…seems I never wrote the name of the game, assuming I would always remember it…
